i hate the metal trim on them, mine is messed up and bent. also hate the fact it seems like ford was ashamed of the mustang in those years ( and ford should have been in the case of 80-82). theres no mustang or ponies any place. i look at my landlords 78 v6 and its got ponies every damn place, on door panels, grill, steering wheel, dash ...... 87-93 atleast says mustang on the glass, and ive always really thought those windowz were sexy lookn with the white mustsang letters. and both bumpers are impressed and the hood underneathv has a pony, and air bag models have a pony above the glove box. just seems weird. sail away i dont like mine. dont like lx wings either. i dont know. i kinda wanted to stay really close to how it came in 86 but i dunno now. the wing is way better, but might keep the sails since no mustang came with those and the 87gt wing. if i convert to 87 ones everyone will think my car is a 87 and i really dont want that. what im thinking of doing is gt87 rear bumper but 86 front, maybe gt sides and if it doesnt look good ill take it off and use it on my 93. im going to be pulling the motor on that car eventually cus of the very high miles and going to a v8 so gt stuff on it works for me

yeah, i've alsways wondered why there were never any horses on my car or any 'mustang' wording except on the hatch[&:] but then again foxbodies are legendary and dont need no stinkin' identification,

back then they werent that well known at all! when i was a kid, im 30 by the way , i saw em but really had no clue they were mustangs, most people reffered to them as pintos back in the 80s and the capris too, i dont think they were really popular til like 88 where i grew up, then everyone wanted one and these became sought after emediately.
i geuss call me captain save a stang. i saved this lil pony. ill keep it even when the motor blows, and get a new one, infact building a back up motor is on my next agenda, and if i have to ill use my 80 4.2l v8 if i have to. with the gt cam and intake itll be ok for temp usage. since the 4 has 288k it might be going in that car really soon since its been rebuilt in 89 and has to have less miles on it since the 80 was wrecked in 03 or 04 when i got the motor from it. i have no plans of lettin a mustanggo to a yard if its fixable, my poor 86 notch was tboned too hard to save...r.i.p. my first car and first stang

my dad tells me back in the day, when he got the 86 right off the dealership, everywhere he went he would get compliments and people asking him about the car, etc. the 5.0 badge on the sides was more then enough to let others know what he had
