Default Carb Question

Okay I've got two questions, would a 750 dp holley carb be too much carb for a stock 5.0L Mustang?
Secondly what does dp mean/stand for? Any help would be great thanks!

uh yeah 750 is freaking over kill and a half. dp stands for dubble pumper. get yourself a holley 600 cfm carb with vacuum secondaries you will be very happy with it thats what i run no issuses ever. car starts as soon as i turn the key never have any problems with it at all absolutely love that carb. tuned it oncenever had to touch it again and thats driving in jersey winter and summer

+10000 a 750 cfm is way too huge a carb for a stock 302, 600 cfm is all you need until you hit the 300 horse mark or so

if u already have a 750 double pumper i'll trade cuz i got a eddy 600 that wont be much use on my 351

750cfm would be great for a 302 that turned 7,500rpm(calculate it, that's about perfect for a well developed race 302 with a single plane that turns that rpm). And you can make a LOT of power(for a n/a 302)with a 600cfm carburetor
