ya auto......B&M pro stick

i didnt want to take her to the dyno until i was done h/c/i next year. all i know is it has 280rwhp and should run 13.2 in the quarter with good suspension and tires. just hoping someone would know off hand what the shifting peak was...

well its an sbf, so im GUESSING redline is like 6k like our 302s? id just get a feel for it... takeit up and down the rd....thers a few 351 guys here... theyll chime in tomorrow

the red line is not 6k forsure......a dodge truck with a 5.7L shifts at 6300rpm

Actually most stock sbf redline at or around 6 grand with extra work to the motor and cam you can get more rpms. Being the motor is stock with a factory cam I say it would be best to shift around 5 grand or maybe a little higher but not much. There is no need to spin a mostly stock motor higher then that since you will be out of the power band.

I would say drive it a couple times and figure it out. Most of the times you can fill the power fall off when you hit your peak, I can in my car when I get alittle over 5200.
