i got a few small dents and a few rust spots i want to clean up.. i was wondering what is some good body filler.. i got the bondo kind with the red 60's mustang on the front and i use it and i like it other then how it has like holes in it after it dries. it isnt a smooth surface it has like little air pockets and stuff on it and it just doesnt loook smooth. is there any other good brand out there?

Bondo brand sux! it is aggrivating to work with...i always work the dents out as far as i can...then skim over with a thin layer of icing. the icing won't leave the holes that the bondo will.

whats icing? a brand of body filler?

yea....it is a really fine filler...go in to any auto paint store and they will know what it is. it is mostly blue... it comes in a squirt tube

i LOVE bondo brand. it comes out as smooth as metal, you just have to know how to use it.

i didn't say it wouldn't get the job done....there is just so much better products out there! Bondo takes way too long to set for me...i always use the quick dry with a flex agent in it

i like bondo a little bit.. it dries really fast.. but i mean i cant get it to come out smooth or anything.

yaeh i do... start out with some tought stuff to get it worked down. then i move to up.. but it always has like little air pockets and stuff.

yup...80 grit...then 180 grit on the final skim before the primer
