i'll probably get flamed by somebody on here, but honestly all you need are some grade 8 washers.

there are two alignment dowels that hold the head centered on the block, and when you bolt down the heads they are clamped down. alot of people seem to thing head bolts somehow align the head to the block and its flat out not true.

plenty of years in a machine shop and plenty of 302's built with 351 heads, not once was there ever an issue....... so trust me, you'll be fine

a washer under the head of the bolt, take a bolt to the hardware store and match it up..... they will be as thick as they are - just make sure its a grade 8. they will probably be tinted gold.

you DO still have the alignment dowels right? they are about 3/8" tall and are a circle that goes around the bottom bolt holes on each side of the motor.... i'll get you a pic

they make washers that thick? i do have like one or 2 of them thick bushing things. i could take one of them and a bolt, So dose the washer have to be like exact same thing as the bushing? Im kinda lost lol. we have a pretty decent sized hardware store here called surplus city im sure they can hook me up with the right things but just wanna make sure i get what i need. I can get my motor to gather besides my intake. still gotta buy that

here this will better explain things.....

see where the alignment dowl is in the bock? there should be two for each side of the motor. you NEED these. if you have those, all you need for your 302 bolts are washers like are shown on the right.

easy peasy, japanesey
