Might want to look for a cam that is imbetween those "stages". They are out there.

Looks like a decent size drag cam, with close to max lift with 1.6rr's. May even need new valve springs for it.

A roller cam that has an rpm range out to at least 6,200rpm is gonna need very good flowing heads and some gear in the rear to make the car function at a level worth using that cam, otherwise it's a waste.

That cam's duration is kinda short. Not really an RPM cam. (just FYI)(yet you cant really clarify a specific RPM range for a cam, to many variables) Heads are great, but really expensive. And just because you cant afford them, or dont have them, doesnt mean that the cam is a waste. You will still get more out of a larger cam no matter what kind of heads you have. And gears is really another preference thing. I think the only thing any two racers can agree on about gears is that 1st is too short. But noone will agree with how tall it should be.
