My dad uses mt et streets 26x11.5x17 on a 17x8 a rim and his car hooks awesome.

There will be less rotating mass w/ the fifteens not to mention the weight difference if you go w/ an aluminum wheel. If I can ever make it to the track I'll be able to let you know. I just went from 17" steel wheels to 15" aluminum. There was a huge difference in weight!!

every 10lbs you can take off the wheels is supposed to be 0.1 ET faster. i weighed my chrome ponies with tires and the total was around 180lbs then i weighed my turbines with tires and it came out to around 160, plus theyre an inch shorter so everything else constant it should be at least 2 tenths faster at the track

not even close, these are the results car craft came up with on there 502 chevelle some time ago. for every 10 pounds you drop .013 on your et.

if you ran a 14.466 and lost 20 pounds in wheel weight your et would be 14.440, not 14.266

put it this way i went .89 quicker in the 1/4 with slicks n skinnies over my 17 inch cobra Rs. the cobra Rs are about as heavy as the Pony Rs, just put some draglites on it, notch's look sick with them, and you will go faster.
