tranny compatability

my buddy's got a 94 v6 with a 5 speed. he wonders if a 302 engine would work with his current transmission??? i don't know what comes with a v6 car or anything, and i thought you guys could answer this one quick. Have at it boys :) thanks.

Hmm, I think the t-5 is basically all the same, the only thing I can think of is that he may need a new flywheel, and I am almost positive about that.

some of the shafts are different i thought.. couldnt say for sure

not all t5s are the same. hell in fbodys they use a T5 almost the same as the one ford uses only major difference is they spun it alittle bit. bet most ppl didnt know that but the ones for gm arent as strong as the ford ones
