Sounds like the planetary gears went out... I would seriously question the quality of that trans is they just took a shyt like that... My girl has a 89 camaro (Me = mustang, her = camaro) with a 700r4 in it, The same thing happend to her (Exactly like your description exc. driving home in reverse) Took it back to the shop that rebuilt it a year prior and they said that planetary gears arent supposed to go out like that, they rebuilt her a new one at no cost even though she was outside of her warranty.

What do you recommend? A t5 that can't handle power or a tremec that can't shift at high rpms?

Few questions for the c-4.

1. donor cars and years.

2.conversion parts needed to swap

3. gear ratio's in tranny.

Im thinking about it, but im not letting $1400 go that easy on these guys, the dam fluid was not even burt or anything, I used all synthetic.

As far as a t-5, I canbuild her up to 400 ft lbs torque and swap that setup in 2 two days, plenty of them at the yards, but this tranny barked all gears and kept you in your seat. Im sure some valve body bolts loosened up or something stupid, I hope.[&o]
If I knew how to rebuild autos, id never have a need for another shop

Yeah, I'm sure your 4 cylinder puts out a ton of torque.

So where did you get 357hp from?

Can you not just rebuild your transmission? Why not buy a Lentech AOD?
