I had my engine built about a month ago and today I noticed that I had them put the wrong timing cover on my motor. When I went to swap the covers out, I lifted off the oil pan I discovered that the ARP main studs and rod bolts that I paid for were not there, they reused the stock ones. And if that wan't enough, they reused my E303 cam when I paid for a different cam that my engine builder suggested. Well I called about the cam ( before I figured out that my ARP bolts were not there) and he said that he had it reground?? Can you regrind a camtoget more lift and duration, a larger cam???

not that im aware of, unless they swapped you to 1.7rr's at the same time... which would be a waste of money..

time to go up there and raise holy fuggin hell. yeah, you can regrind a cam to get more lift and duration..... but there are almost NO machine shops left with cam grinders, thats a specialty type of machine - even for high end machine shops.

plus the arp bolts and such...... i'd be having them tear down the motor, replacing the bolts, let YOU check the cam, and have them fix it all.

wouldn't you have to atleast get longer pushrods to make up for the smaller base circle?
