just making sure, the tranny that is in a 4 cyl mustang is a T-5 right?

as some of you know i might be getting a 1988 lx hatch that is a 5 liter soon but its auto [:@]. i made my 1990 lx coupe a auto for drag racing...C4 tranny and b&m shifter, because the stock t-5 wont handle the 351. so right now i have a left over t-5 and stock 5-spd shifter.

could i just take out all the auto shyt on the 88 and everything will bolt up to the 5 liter? cuz i will be using it for a street car.

I believe so, ive seen in 5.0 mustang of MM&FF where someone ran the 4 banger t-5 behind the 5.0 and was still runing fine even after i think about a year, Kinda crazy but h*ll.....

so the 4 cyl and 5 liter t-5 tranny are the same right?

if u get a bellhousing for a v8 and bolt it to the t5 it will go together as long as u have all the other thing for it such as the pedal assembly, clutch and flywheel,cable and quadrant, and make sure you get a pilot bearing for a 4 cyl car and put it in the back of your 302.

i forgot to mention my car runs a t5 out of a 4cyl and its held up to hard beating
