Ok first let me say the situation I have a 95 Gt with a kenne bell super charger, the car sat for about a year maybe a little more before i owned it (started once a week but not driven more than a mile or two). Anyway I bought the car knowing I had to change the headgaskets so I only drove it a short distance it ran fine then. That was about two months ago. The car is back together now and runs well at an idle. You can tap the gas and it revs right up no problems. I went to take the car out of my garage and noticed under accel. the car pops. Now I'm thinking old gas right now since the gas does not smell fresh to me but i'm also wondering could it be a vacume leak, egr problem, timing, or something else. I have good fuel pressure and no check engine light. The car idles rock steady at 900rpm and its been like that since I bought the car (i know its a little high it also has a cam in it). The egr valve on my car is in place but someone cut the tube connecting it to the header and welded it shut and welded the header shut. I don't think this is the right way to do it but since it didn't throw an error code i'm assuming the egr is either turned off or it is just not sending a code since it is still in place.Any advice on the cause of my car breaking up under accel? Could it be that my mass airflow sensor got dirty while it was apart. I put it in a zip lock bag and placed it in someplace safe I know it didn't get touched while it was out.
