with my automatic i take it right through the water and then stand on the brake and stomp the gas

works well enough for me cuz i always have the biggest burnout, then agian i am in Trophy Stock

You should never heat street tires, they will accaully ball rubber up on them and you wilol get les traction. Just spin them good as you go to the line.

Hold the brake.......lift the clutch and press the gas.....all while holding the brake....and let them roll!!

I would not really consider it "dropping the clutch"

but are you essentially just dumping the clutch??? or is there a certain way to do it. i'm talking pedal work here
How I do it, I will dump the clutch and then grab brake and try not to over rev...look for smoke then roll out of it spinning.

I can't seem to do it very well that way...it is called heel toeing it. Seems like I either burn my clutch or over rev. I like the dump then grab....I might be looking into a line lock.

a good way to do it without burning up your clutch is get it going really slow in first and then jack the gas and hold the brake at the same time..no clutch involved

Dumping the clutch is kinda harsh I'm a heel toe person its easy for me to do with my size 10.5 REDWINGS
plus I operate alot of heavy equipment and thats mostly heel toe all day long
dam I love my JOB !!!
