Default proper way to burn out???

what is the proper way to burn out at the track??? i'm not talking about just like dropping the clutch either.

Slicks- Go around water, back into water, light 'em up real good.

Street Tires- Go around water, stay out of water, and spin them over to clean off oil/rocks. You really don't need to even touch the brake, just spin them a little.

but are you essentially just dumping the clutch??? or is there a certain way to do it. i'm talking pedal work here
