Default Bumping timing does what?

My timing recently was set at 10 degree. What will it do for me if I bump it too say 12 or so???

You will need to run premium gas.
You can bump it a little more than 12 actually.
You pick up 3-4hp per degree of timing and feel snappier throttle response.

Factory sets it very conservative to allow use of cheap gas.

Huuum, too bad gas is so COSTLY. Hwta is the highest you can bump on a stock set up stil be able to buy gas at any station.

i wouldnt go much past 12 or 14.... throw it at 12 and be done with it. its safer than going nuts and you'll gain a little itty bit of pep

I've got mine at 15 deg and still burn 87 octane from Canadian tire.
