Does anyone know of a company that sells subframe connectors that set inside the subframe instead of being underneath? I know its a bit more work to install but I'm looking for ground clearance and I've had this idea in my head of puttingside exit exhaust on my 83 hatch and with normal connectors the exhaust would hang way too low. Fabricating my own would be fairly simple, I was just curious.

you dont need a kit for those.
just take some straight square tubing and cut the floor out of its way.

Griggs sells a kit like this, Modified Mustangs did a series of articles on a Griggs suspension on a fox, and the first thing they did is what you are thinking about doing.....

if you do it with 2x4 rectangular tubing like your suposed to, and like most companies do, it sits just as low, my cats are still lower than the subframe connectors so it doesnt matter those hit anyway
