He's not loosing intake velocity at 4,000 rpm launch.
Your maf and TB are NOT too big.

try a 65mm throttle body i hear too big a throttle for a car is like running to big a carb

Yep, I did the same thing when I first got my DR's.. Took about 5-10 passes before I found the right about of time to warm them up. but boy once you get them warm enough, you'll know. When I hooked really well the first time I was looking at the sky! It was a rush! Heat them up better next time and 13.5's should be easy to surpass.

The MAF conversion should not have made you slower, maybe the 70mm MAF is too big for a fairly stock motor.
he's been told this, he just doesn't believe it. along with having a TB that is the same size, you are losing intake velocity.
Didn't say I didn't believe you, wew were talking a different problem...car runs greatwith the 70mm, feels faster. BTW, you have issues.
