I need head
I went to the junkyard the other day but all they had was GT-40ps for 100$ a piece. i want some GT-40s though. What cars and whatyears do they come on? i know pre 97 1/2 exp/mountaineers have them, but what other cars have them? also, whats the casting number on them?

no, GT-40p's came on explorers, GT-40s came on 94-95 mustangs.Believe me, ur not gonna find one. You can get GT-40p's but then you'll have to get different headers to fit the heads. If i were you and i was junkyard diggin, i would look for 70-71 351 heads. They flow BETTER than GT-40s and you wont have to get new headers. getting them ported wouldnt hurt. The GT-40s were designed to flow like the 70-71 351 heads but dont match up

You don't have to change headers for the GT40's, just the P's. Removing the thermactor bumps in the exhaust side of the GT40's will dramatically improve exhaust flow. The P's will have a higher compression ratio (58cc chambers as opposed to 64cc on the GT40's), better combustion (due to the relocated plug location), and better flow up to ~.500 lift (even more if you go w/ larger valves than the 1.46's it comes with---same as the E7's stock).
