i know this is off topic, i just can't hold it in anymore..

my local Firestone establishment contacted me, through a friend of mine, and has offered me $30/hr flat rate, to be their diag tech.

Cocky or not, at 24 years old, i feel this is a great achievement. Woohoo!

sorry to brag just had to get it off my chest.

I'm leaving for a cruise this saturday, and I will be getting back to them on the 21st..
What should I do? I'm making $20/hr flat rate right now, as a repair tech, leaving the diag to a master ase tech.

lol... honestly, i've been thinking of moving to canada for quite a few years. the politics and government policy's really appeal to me, compared to the current status of the US, but like i said before, i'm not even sure if my criminal record will allow me to cross the border, let alone move there.

as a tech myself i'd say go for it. you'll make more money and do much less physical work and thats the part of our jobs that wears us out to a possible early retirement. also, being a diag. tech brings you one step closer to managment and such
