Yes, removing the factory cats makes the exhaust a good deal louder and gives it a lot more agressive of a sound, at least that's how it is with Flowmasters

removing the cats will make it sound louder, but its typically illegal to cut 'em off. i had this one friend who had cut is off his car and wen't to have exhaust put on at this garage. when he went to pick the car up they had charged him for two and installation.

ok some one needs to post their set up with bassanai or borlas stuff. I've never heard one before on a 5.0and I know on the 4.6's they sound the best.
