TPS!!!?
My tps is reading 2volts with the key on engine off. If I pull the tps off the throttle body it still reads 2volts. If I manually turn the tps it will read 4 or so volts at WOT. I know that it should read .98-1.0v So where is this 2v coming from. We checked all the grounds and the battery is fully charged. The 5v reference is good and were reading good voltage on the computer side. Im stumped. What can I do. What could be causing this. thanks in advance.[/align]

RE: TPS!!!?
possibly a bad tps??? at idle it should be 1.0 v or less and increase gradually
to 4.5 more or less. Tps problems are quite common especialy in part throttle position 1-2v. I say replace the tps .

RE: TPS!!!?
How big are the holes in the TPS? If you modified the stock piece, did you recently make the holesbigger? They may bo too big. I went a bit overboard on mine so if i rotate it far enough while still loose i can get it to read over 2. TPS are very sensitive.
Check the connetor for corrosion. If there isnt any then replace the TPS.

RE: TPS!!!?
we swapped out mine with my buddies which read perfect on his car, so I know its not the tps, and we have not modified the holes. Even with the tps off of the throttle body its reading 2 volts

RE: TPS!!!?
Disconnect the EGR sensor (EVP) and recheck voltage....if it stays @2.x vdc, disconnect the BP sensor and recheck TPS voltage. All three sensors share the VREF and SIGRTN wiring/circuit, and a short at any of them could cause problems with the others.
