PA86_50

I was pulling apart my 86. The drivers side always sucked because it had the factory white plasitc crap to hold the upper door handle. Passenger side has these nice metal ones. (to hold on the door handles).

Does anyone know where to get these? or a good way to fix the upper handle on an 86?

Carriage bolts work well to replace the rivets.

Definately use the metal replacement handles...

I tried cjpony and 50 resto. Neither has them. Maybe I didn't explain good enough. Any 86 or earlier owner will know that the interior 'upper door handle' clip pulls out of the door. I think these were white plastic from the factory (like my drivers side has). My passenger side has metal ones. 3 of them. 2 clips that accept the bolt that goes 'through' the interior door handle/armrest, and one that accepts the bolt that goes 'through' the upper door handle.

These metal clips 'clip' into the door sheet metal (through the door panel), then you bolt the door handle/armrest to these.

Can't find them, don't know what they are called (if there is an actual name). Anybody else have any suggestions?
