Red will cost more than white just for the paint. Reds are suposed to be the most expensive colors to make because of the pigments.If the guy that caused the damage is truely your friend, You won't f*ck him over and expect him to pay for a complete paint job especially a color change. He is liable only for the damage he caused. If you make him pay for everything then he will be better off going thru his insurance and having to pay slightly increased rates than getting a** raped by you making him pay for a complete paint job!

Just got 2 estimates..One for the whole left side 100% finished, and one for just a door, quarter, prep and primer. First quote was $3600 and the second was $2077. Unless me n my friend can work out a deal, looks like insurance will be cutting me a check for the book value..."total loss"

Tell me about it. I feel bad makin my friend pay so much, but I cant let him go thru insurance cuz they will just write it off and I'll be stuck with no money to buy another nice fox..

Go to a walmart parking lot and call the cops...tell them someone hit you there and get a report. No one will be at fault...it is kind of slimey to do it that way, but it will work.
