Default never get someone to do your dirty work

so i went to a shop to see if they can fix the o2 sensors and the exhaust leak since i don't have the right tools. he said he couldn't fix the exhaust leak and he fixed getting the o2's off by welding a hole in the midpipe and threading it so right now i have 4 o2's but only 2 of them are connected and the cel still comes on. i think it might be my tps tho

Thats just retarded. It wouldve been alot less work to remove the old ones and put new ones in their place.

What kind of shop does that kind of 'repair' and gives the car back with the same problem it had before and expects you to pay for it anyway?

Any mechanic with half a brain should be able to diagnose the problem and do an appropriate repair and not have the CEL come back. Throwing parts at it and cobbing them on doesnt really help.
