need some electrical guys..
right now my car doesnt have turn signals. when i bought the car they seemd to work fine. but i noticed in about a 3 day period that they seem to weaken. like they wouldnt stay lit as long each flash as they used to. and then they just went out. i have checked everything from fuses to the blubs. i cant figure it out. and the weird thing to me is my hazards still work. any ideas? because the cops here in central IL will pull you over for not using turn signals.. and im tired of using hand signals lol.
someone told me that my "flasher" might be bad? is there such thing??

you know, i know the fuse your talking about, but my car never had one... lol but like i said the signals worked for a few months. maybe ill try getting one of those and see waht happens.
oh i also changed that whole assembly were the turn signal arm is, and where the wipper control is.. didnt help. ya my interval windshield wippers dont work either if any one has any ideas on that too lol
ya and not really sure how the iginition would play a part in the turn signals but hey let me know if it works.

My mistake lol i got my relays backwards here i copied this from one of my repair manuals.
Two flasher units are used. One is used for the turn signal circuit and the other is for the hazard warning circuit. The turn signal flasher is mounted on the instrument panel reinforcement above the fuse panel. The hazard warning flasher is mounted in the fuse panel.
hope that helps some

Ok so heres an update i went out and decided to look at my ignition switch i was trying to take the wiring harness of the back of it and the switch fell apart so i held the switch back into place and then tried my turn signals and they worked. so i guess the ignition switch does have something to do with it so 10$ later and i now have working turn signals.

yeah there is a flasher relay that makes the lights blink. its either a short in the wires or the relay. u can use a voltmeter before the relay and see what power is going to it. and then check after the relay. that will tell you where its at.
