ok my 89 fox hatch bone stock has some starting problem that i just cant figure out. when its shut off after being driven for a while it doesnt want to restart. it just keeps turning over but it just wont fire. im not sure what it is. its getting strong spark from the coil to the distributor and runs fine when it starts. what could the problem be..???

I have that problem too, only difference is that I'm putting a carb on mine and it will apparently get rid of that problem. I talked to a few guys and they said that it's either a problem with the motor getting fuel, or timing... but maybe check your grounds too?...Sorry not quite sure.

its most likely the starter getting too hot. it happened on my 89. Id recommend to replace it with a 92+ starter or a mini high torque starter.
