Are some 1.7 roller rockers quieter than others? Like comparing to cranes, trick flow, scorpions, harland, erson, ford motorsports, Are some quieter than others? Or do all of them make the same amount of noise? is it normal to hear them tick? like a sewing tick? I have cranes 1.7 and they tick tick, I have been told its normal for the cranes to be that noisy, but I am not sure about that..

What brand roller rockers do you use? And are they noisy?

yes they will make more noise than stockers,, i got 1.6Fs and new pro magnum hyd roller lifters and sounds like i got a nike shoe manufacturing plant underneath my hood

I never had issues with my cranes ticking.... maybe you did something wrong.... not enough pre-load on a lifter maybe?

+1 I dont know why i hear so much about roller rockers making noise...

almost every roller rocker i have used has made some noise, some more than others though,,

maybe it was because mine had 160k miles on them... maybe they made noise when they were new....but not while I had the car.. lol

when i first put these into the 347 i thought my injectors were making the noise then found out it was the rockers, removed the VCs and they werent rubbing at all i took enough outta em for clearances ,, well when i added the dart block and new freakin expensive lifters more noise than before,, called a bunch of people about em, comp says those pro magnum hyd roller lifters are noisy and you will be able to hear em, so not really worrying about it

roller rockers will make some noise no matter how well they are set but i dont really hear my scorpion RR at all........but thats probably because of the really loud exhaust

i got 3" dumped b4 my axle in my vert and when im driving i cant hear it at idle i can hear them a bit, and of course pop the hood and can hear them,

I had 1.7 Ford Motorsport rollers when the car was pretty much stock, after the build I went to 1.6 Scorpion Rollers, they were both noisy. They have a roller and there is abit of play in the roller so when it hits the valve it makes a tick. times that tick by 1000's of RPM's and you have some noise, there's nothing you can do about it. I could only hear them when the hood was open, if it was closed, you couldn't hear them over the exhaust and cam lope.
