Just bought some new cobra tail light lenses (lenses only) Do I have to remove the entire housing? or do you some how do it on the car?
How are they held on to the housing?
No directions in box, so I thought I would ask first and save a little aggrevation.

Btw this is on an 89 LX

you can do it on car, gently pull on the old ones and they should come off, reseal the new ones and make sure the clips are there and push the new ones back on. You may want to tape them to make them really tight

Thanks, not sure if I should pry them apart or not. Just did not want to break anything, figured better to ask first.

some people put them in the oven at like 200°, the glue melts and you can pull them apart.... just dont leave them in very long

should you put the housing on the new tail lights and push them on or put the housing on the car and push the lens on??

I've had better luck by bolting the housing into place first and then pushing on the lens.
