Default K-Member Manufacturers and ratings

I have a 91 5.0 and was thinking about switching over to a K-Member.
I was wondering do i need anything else. I was reading about the tubular A Arms and you need to get the coil over kit. Also it may move the suspension forward. I have the 5 lug conversion with the 94-95 Spindles Cobra brakes and wheels. Will this be a simple or many extra parts procedure.

Also is there 1 K-Member better than the other?

I was thinking of switching over now because the engine is pulled and am upgrading to a 347 stroker.

They make tubular k-members that take sn95 spindles, their are a both of different brands like QA1, MM, AJE, maxium motorsports are probably the best. you will need tubular a-arms, coil over struts suchas QA1, and the coilover kit. EBAY has a kit for like 650 without the struts, they are like 250 a piece

depending on what you want to do, there are many different choices. I would personally recommend the AJE racing tubular K-member and tubular lower control arms IF you plan on retaining your factory spring location. AJE makes a set of tubular arms that have a spring cup for the stock spring location.

If you plan on running a full kit, coil overs and all, UPR is the way to go. they cost a little less than the AJE racing setup.

And if you want a hardcore, ready for anything type of suspension... Maximum Motorsports has the most versitile setup.

i chose to run the D&D full k-member set up on my old 95 because of the eight savings and i was more oriented towards drag racing

Can the AJE be run on a daily driver?

What about the D & D?

Is there any hold backs to running these kits on the street?

I don't know how far you are in building your dream car But if there are other things that you have not done yet.....save the k-member for later.

Sure, it saves weight.....but for the price, you can invest in many other things that are much more fun.....

Get a UPR Kmember kit ($699). It comes with EVERYTHING. You can run the stock shock but you have to do some work to it to get the adjuster sleeve/nut on it. I recommend a set of Strange 10way adjustsables or a set of QA1's. Can be done in about a day ( I took my time and was in no rush). You will also need some Caster/Camber plates. All in all you are looking at roughly $1000 after shipping and everything. Everything was included in the kit and i didnt have to buy anything other than two metric nuts to go on top of the strange struts. Here is a link to my work on my 85. Your car will be a little different but not by much at all.
