Default gear break in question

I am looking at getting some used 3.73 gears

I know that you have to break in new gears for a few hundred miles, do you have to on used gears too?

Break in is a myth. It's a good idea to take it easy for a little bit to make sure that everything is how it should be, but there is no "break in" period

My Richmond gear set recomended a "break-in" but it was little more than driving continuously for 30 minutes, then letting the diff cool back down to ambient temperature, to work harden the gears. I dunno if that counts as "break-in" though. 30 miles later and the next day I was all over that thing, no problems
