9,000 RPM 5.0L possbile?
I know this sounds stupid, but what is the highest reving 5.0L you guys have heard of? i.e. what's the record? Is 7-8,000 RPM the limit?
Also, what is the NA record for a 5.0L on 93 octane? (Hp wise)
Is there a good 5.0L crate motor that can rev high?
Why do I want to know? Because I know Honda has the 2.0l S2000 motor that makes ~240HP @ 9,000 RPM, which is very sad, but amazing from a hp per liter stand point. I know boosted 5.0l can vastly surpass that. I've just been wondering what's the limit a 5.0 can do.
p.s. this is not a pro "rice" question. I'm just curious.

you could easily do 9k in a stock 5.0 if it didnt/doesnt have a rev limiter in it, but it would prolly only be able to do it that one time. as far as a race prepped block sure it could do it but that wouldn't be a street motor by any means

if u got the money you can wind them out to 12K! thats alot of money though. u can make enough power with these engines so that 7K would be the absolute highest you would need. its all about block intergrety, crank/stroke, ALL LIGHTWEIGHT INTERNALS (needed to get high revs) and supporting mods.
