thats because the 5.0 camaro was a turd

jasper first off u picked the wrong ford small block, well no, a very well built clevor wit a 200 shot will put that bbc right next to u. noone on here ever says anything about those motors, those things are just nasty. they were banned from racing b.c no other sb could keep up wit it. but in a real sense u wont. here is why.
1) dad has bigger budget
2) dad has cheaper sh*t
3) no replacement for displacement
4) dad has more parts available
5) no replacement for displacement
6) no replacement for displacement

u see what im saying. if u wanna keep up wit a bbc u need a bbf
that simple
jmo
good luck

I'm not too fond of the "no replacement for displacement" cliche. There are PLENTY of replacements for discplacement. Lighter internals for faster revving, forced induction, more rpm. Depends on how you want to build it

just to repeat what i said in the first page that our dad is buying my coupe and i think hes working on a 331 or 347. but i kno for a fact its going to be a c4 with a 3800 stall and a shift kit. so i guess that means soon there will be a complete 5spd for sale

Ben I understand that but i will still want to go in prepared and trying to build the fastest car i can. i know for a fact a properly built 347 can be in the 10's with the right suspension.

Also me and timmy are also going to be racing also and i want to be keep up with his drag car that he is building so take it easy homie. Dad just has more experience so I have to do all the research I can
