wait why couldnt you have just kept the cobra if you already had all that work done to it? and just bought the gas saver? wouldnt that have cost about the same? vs building annother car?
not if he sells the cobra for 35000, then only spends 10 to make another car

is that notch already a 5.0? if not go with a 393 since youll have to swap the motor anyway
exactly the way it is happening. the car is selling for about 30k+, im pocketing $20,000, and got about another 10 to play with. i already own the gas saver.

H/C/I, 150 shot, M/T ET streets, rear end ( auburn differential, 3.73s, 31 spline axels), no sway bar, 4 cyl springs, strange 10 ways all around, subframes, little stuff like no smog, battery in trunk, etc., you'll make over 400 hp to the wheels on the spray and if this thing is gutted like you say its going to be, you'll be knocking on the door of the tens, also consider a different tranny, It can be done for less than ten grand NO problem
thanks man. sounds good. about that h/c/i though....

ive been looking at a number of companys for those things(anderson, afr, trickflow, ford motorsports, edelbrock, etc...)
what is your suggestion on a good h/c/i combo. the afr heads seem the way to goe but too much alone.

stock shortblock, good H/C/I, NX 150 shot, SFCs, UCA/LCA, good tires, 3000lb race weight, and a good tranny (built AOD or Tremec)

You can get that car down to 2800# and be in business.
My '84 H/B is only 2860# with 185# of me in it.
Lotsa times, removing wieght is cheaper than builoding power.
I'd try a 347 on carb with a solid roller and a C-4 & 4.10's..........

Not a power thing but you might want to think of bracing it. Doesn't help to err on the side of caution especially with these cars... they're not known to be the strongest things on the road...

put an 03 cobra motor in it. find a 4 cyl notch or a rolling chasis and put that termy motor wit a pulley swap, well u kno the rest u own one.

or a simple bb would do it. a 429 wit some nasty heads and a mild cam will make that car jump all over the place.

I've got a friend with a 91 hatch. It's H/C/I with a novi. He puts down 450 to the wheels and runs a 1.6 60 foot on slicks. It's a tko 600 and he only runs 11.40's, I think it will take more then 450 for tens. Although, he runs at a ****ty track with full interior and a sub in the back. So I guess it's possible with less weight.
