John Force runs a 500 big block in his 2500lb. funny car.
Can you run mid 4's for less with a 302?

please do not get me started on small block vs big block...both have the pros and cons....a ford 302 makes great power foe being so small....but get real ok..for all out power big motors rule...yes there is 6 and 7 sec so called small blocks but what motors do all pro stock use..pro mods..top fuel ..etc...big blocks...you put 4000.00 in a 302 and 4000. in a 454 chevy or a 460 ford and more than likely the bigger motor will run cicles around you...asa for traction in my s10...or any other high tq motor with light rear ends...just use sticky tires and a good traction device..cal-tracts..slide a links...etc...

why..are you serious...ok.....cause 454 cubics is 454 cubic wheather its caqlled a big or small block..a 4 in stroke is 4 inches rather its a big or small block....i would say that becaue it is because a 454 small block is a lot lighter than a real 454 big block..i recall that same article..and the 454 small block was not that much faseter..but it was faster . more than likely over the weight savings

who said that both 454s had to have the same bore and stroke? that is the key to the difference between them, and then the weight.
