RE: big block in a s10
your not to far from me then really. head out to PRP[aka keystone] buddy of mine got a 94 GSR NA motor that runs high 12s car has full interior [except rear seats] he built it himself and is the perfect sleeper. thats also like saying remove the blower off the new cobra its junk without it or remove the turbo from the GN and see how much of a dog it is. they all are cars respect them all. ppl take the time and effort to build them why not respect them if they run decent numbers. you went mid 13s on a built car or hoping for 12s on a built setup. **** budget parts can get you 12s if you know how to plan your setup.

I am in Pa. dude. The thing about these fast imports is that they are nothing without the turbos. Imagine if I bolted on a turbo or s/c on my 351w.
When you find a fast N/A import, take I-79 North to I-80 East and get off at exit 224. That's the town I live in. You won't have to look hard because I have the only 82 GT in the tri-county area.
If you want an indication of how quick my car is...put it this way...last year I went 13.54@105mph...BUT....that was with a 7.5 rear(non-trac-loc) with 2:73 gears and 225/60/14 steet tires(notice the 14" tires) and a small 625 carb.
Since then, I have an 8.8 rear with 4:10's, rebuilt trac-loc, subframes, and soon a 750 holley and slicks. That should be good for mid 12's
Now..imagine that with a novi 2000 or 100 shot of NOS
BTW...most people can't afford a 70K camaro either and the people who could would buy it as a collector car same as the Ford GT...to be honest.
That goes for the 2000 cobra R mustang which is also in the collectable car status.

RE: big block in a s10
Oh..I'll be in the 12's for sure now. I also built this car myself.
I just wanted to see what it would run with 2:73's and street tires.
I knew it wasn't going to run 12's like that.
If I ran mid 13's with $hit gears and 14" street tires, imagine what it will run with slicks, 4:10's and a better carb.
It will run circles around that guys S-10 with a stock 350 or whatever's in the POS.
I'm not trying to be a smartass towards you but you kind of "attacked" me when I wasn't expecting it.

Ok..sounds good to me.
QUICK made a good point when he said we should respect ANY car that runs good numbers...no matter what it is.
That's the name of the game....right? Even if it isn't a mustang.

RE: big block in a s10
yep respect everything but this is dedicated to stangs. other sites like www.pittspeed.com talk about everything. if you built it and runs good great. but if you bought it, it doesnt . count... lets just keep this forum to stangs
