March A/C delete idler pulley kit - Im confused

found this on ebay..

ummm y buy a delete pully? with the a/c u can just get a shorter belt IIRC.. thats what i did for my smog pump, i would delete the a/c too but i do alot of driving for work and a/c is nice after tearing floors out or peoples houses

what is IIRC?
can i just take off my AC and smog, and get a belt to accomodate?

I bypassed the A/C with a shorter belt back in December and the tensioner pulley kept pushing the belt down on the water pump so it would rub and eventually tear the belt up. I went through 3 belts and the last one actually ripped in half while I was driving. I finally got tired of messing with it so I just bought this

look at my sig. the the bracket on that ebay ad is whats holding my alt. that was custom, and i had to mod the bracket to make it work. the way that bracket was designed to work looks like this....
