Default vacuum line frustration

I have a 87 Mustang GT and the vacuum lines have never been right since i bought the car used 3 years ago - this has been causing a lot of problems and may even be my hesitation problem - i have tried to follow that stupid diagram on the hood but it is pretty much useless to me - can anyone please direct me in the right place???

Thanks

Just buy new vacuum line at Napa or Auto Zone and replace every line one by one. It's really not that difficult. Start with one vacuum line and follow it to see where ot goes. Once you figure that out then disconnect it and replace it with a new one. The are no wire harnesses or anything to worry about. It's just a hollow rubber tube.

You can buy vacuum line / tube for $0.99 per foot, which is pretty good. It shouldn't cost you that much to replace all the lines.

I know it may not be exactly what you're looking for, but here are a couple vacuum diagrams that may help a bit:

Get a can of carb cleaner, turn the engine on, and start sprayin the carb cleaner around any and all vacuum lines. If there is a vacuum leak, then you will hear a change in the engine as it the carb cleaner gets sucked in. May not hurt to get / borrow a vacuum gauge as well to see how many inches you're pulling.

Disconnect them and cap off any open vacuum lines. I capped mine off at the intake itself and just pulled all the crap out. But then again, my smog and my EGR are both disabled.
