Mass air flow sensor

Well, today I got a mechanic to run a dagnostic on the 95 gt and according to him the lack of acceleration is due to bad mass air flow sensor. The direct replacement from ford is 210 but I found a nice Vortech 73mm one for $125. The descip says it is to be used with 19lb injectors. What comes stock on the 5.0? Also how hard would it be to put it in myself. Directions are more than helpful.

Thanks

that is what you car come with (19lb inj.) it would take you about 15 to 20 minutes to swap it out. the first thing to do is to disconnect your battery. then unplug you maf then remove the inlet tube that runs to your intake. the remove the nuts that hold the maf in place and replace with the new one. and do these steps in reverse.

I found a nice 73 mm housing on summit, but I just relized it is just a housing. I still need the sensor. Anyone know a good place online for just the sensor?

He got codes 181, and 189 and so he tested the o2 sensor and said it was in range then he tested the mass sensor and said it was out of range, so to replace that. They wanted 450 for it.yea right

I am pretty sure it wont fit. I was looking online and every site has mass air set apart from 87-93 and 94-95. 20 bucks is real good though
