quick question about exhaust

I was thinking about taking off my midpipe and welding my mufflers right behind my cats. Would this hurt anything on my car? And would it sound alot better?

Might end up sounding like truck and could end up stirring up a TON of dust and dirt making cleaing the car a VERY common experience. Basically you're creating a set of dumps.

I had chery bombs bolted to an Hpipe on one of my 79's. It actually sounded ok. And no it doesnt hurt anything, but as mentioned it stirs up a lot of crap on the road under the car.
