I am in a similar situation as you. I have a stock exhaust system and will be replacing everything from the manifolds to the tips. Here is what I am getting, and what I recommend (some things you may not need):

BBK Long Tube 1 5/8 Ceramic Headers
BBK High Flow H-Pipe (with catalytic converters)
Flowmaster American Thunder cat back system (with stainless tips)

i think you should get a straight through design. kind of like the super turbos or magnaflows. straight through means there are no chambers in the muffler and that the gases just make a couple turns before exiting the muffler. for some reason i like the sound of dynomax and magnaflows more than flowmasters. i would get super turbos

Flowmaster sounds great on most vehicles, I have them on my 4x4 truck. Recently I have seen many postings that have shown Flowmaster reduce HP as shown on the dyno. I only mention if you are looking for HP and sound.

Flows dont loose HP, they gain. I hace seen a test on a 04 GT and they just put flowmaster 40's 2chamber muffler on a bone stock car and got 14.6 hp, and 13.2 TQ.
