You don't need a hand held tuner. The guys down there will burn a custom chip for you. You are getting it dyno tuned right?

I don't think I'd really say one tuner is "better" than the other. In the end they both allow you to do pretty much the same exact thing. The only difference is how you get to that point. There are only a handful of choices for your car anyway.

After learning a little more on the pms, I suggest avoiding it like the plague...

tweecer or handheld should do well.

But don't tuning shops install whatever they are used to using? I would think your choices would be limited if you have already chosen a shop.

You are here looking for opinions, so here is mine.
If the shop uses the PMS, find another shop.

Just my opinion, I know others have been pretty happy with the pms.

I don't think it to be worth the money, no matter how 'easy' it is to use...

again.... megasquirt FTW

If your tuner is any good.. at all.... he'll be able to look at the MS system and know exactly how to work with it, as its moronically simple

PMS is a waste of money. MS is Megasquirt.. the lowest cost standalone engine management unit available.... it can be had for less than $400
