OK so this morn my temp gauge goes a lil freaky on me. I normally run @ 165*. This morn after it heated up got to normal level than after a few mins shot up to approx. 270* like instantly and then proceded to bounce back between the two for a while. There is no possible way for the temp to actually rise and drop 100* at a time repeatedly. After a bit it went back to normal and stayed there. Any ideas??

Also I after I stopped. The car did not feel very hot. Bad sensor maybe?

I need to find out whats up with mine too. It doesnt work at all, just stays pinned at the bottom so I never know how hot my car is!

Bad sensor, bad connection to the sensor, low on coolant (Id check that first), clean the connections on the sensor itself and the wire going to it.

Coolant level is fine, just did a flush 2 weeks ago and been monitoring the level since then.
