ok guys, just got my fuel pump replaced on my 5.0. I have one question though, does anyone with an aftermarket throttle body have a whistle? when it idles down to right at or below 1k it whistles. and i mean like, a sharp piercing whistle, i sprayed carb cleaner all around the intake and nothin happened, so im guessing its not a vacuum leak. its idling right around 1k most of the time, is that normal for a 5 speed?

i have heard about this whistle you are talking about and something about the whistle and trottle body kinds links in my head. im no efi guy so im sure someone will come help you out soon its also late on a friday night most people are out so it might be a while before you get something

Is it a BBK? They all whistle.....there is a fix though, I will post it in a minute

I dremeled out all the powder coating inmine.....especially around the IAC

Everyone once and a while it whistles a little bit.....but nothing too noticable

yeah, its a bbk.....not too thrilled about needing to sand my throttle body, but, **** happens
