Just bought a drive shaft loop, where to put?

doesnt it go as close as possible to the middle of the driveshaft? if it breaks off from either the front or rear it wont drag
According to the NHRA rule book it MUST be mounted within 6 inches of the front U-joint. Anyplace else and it could/will fail tech, depending on the track.
