Default engine and sc combo?

im thinking of geting the340hp ford racing engine http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=7367. i would like to run aPAXTON NOVI 1000with it . what do you all think?

Sounds awesome. Just be sure to get larger injectors and a larger fuel pump. You may also wanna make sure your tranny and suspension is up to the task. You may also need a lager MAF if you don't have one because chances are, if it's calibrated to 19# injectors, then it's not going to be able to measure teh increased airflow and you're gonna peg the meter.

Could get a Procharger too, or Vortech, I've heard of people who have had problem's with Paxtons and others who haven't but I ain't got one, so don't take my word for it. As far as performance, that's a relatively inexpensive way to make decent power, but if you have the skill you could build a better 302 for the same price.

Thats really overpriced....

IMHO, i would get a strongrer block first, then the rotating assembly (347), and you will be set for a good amount of HP!

Do it right the first time!

not sure what kind of plugs are in that motor but you will want a colder plug then stock as well.

do you get to pick which cam you want?

By the way, if you haven't decided on an engine yet, check this one out here. It's over 400 HP / 400 q and it's $155 cheaper than the one you're looking st. And these guys know their **** too.
