yep adder is right, once it has enough pressure in the line u wont hear it at all

remove it if u think its the isssue, i by passed it on my 93 cus it kept tripping. only 2 wires cut em and us a wire nut and connect em together

so u cut the plug off that goes into the inertia switch and then u just connect the 2 wires right?

Inertia switches don't go bad. You can reset them. Just push the red button to reset it. If it's not that then try the relay. But you really should have a wiring diagram and be going through the entire circuit with a dmm. Replacing parts is never a good idea. You'll just get frustrated.
