RE: How difficult is it to install new gears
Actually that first one was pretty straight forward. It even had a picture.
This is not a daily driver. I bought the car a few months ago cause...well i always wanted a Mustang (87-91). Found a nice fixer upper. Turns out there really wasn't much to fix but the cosmetics. So I was just looking for a few upgrades to put on it. The price of the gears are not bad (even if a "pro" does it). So I was going to go for it. Still will, but not right now.

Honestly if you have to ask about what it takes to do gears, then you prolly can't do gears. You have to know what you're doing and it requires some specialized tools. I did mine and it took quite a while cuz it didn't want to setup too easy, finally got it within spec but not perfect, so there's a bit of gear noise which ain't uncommon. The real trick is setting it up and having it not make noise(which isn't always possible). And sometimes the gears aren't manufactured perfectly, or something in your diff/housing is off and they just won't set.
