how can i check to see if i have gt40 heads without taking the whole thing apart? thanks

its cause im having trouble with the spark plugs and the headers. im thinking they might be gt40p heads and the wrong headers were installed.

It's clearly stamped on the side of the head. If you don't see it you don't have them.

the boot on one of the wires gets fried by the header. what can i do? does anyone have a pic of gt40 heads?

look for those ripples on the front of the head, its unique to gt40 heads, you can clearly see them in 1fastzook's pic

There will be four bars on the front and backs of the heads as well as "GTP" stamped where the lower head bolts are.
