any time you drain the coolant you have to burp it to get all the air out. Jack up the front of the car so that the filler neck on the radiator is the highest point in the cooling system. Then shake that bitch until u get all the air out

Ya, you never wanna run a motor with water in the coolant. You'll kill the bearings fast. If the oil is filled with water it no longer lubricates correctle. Also, you wanna be careful you don't hydrolock that thing with a combustion leak. Pull the plugs and see if any of the cylinders have water in them. Then atleast you'll know what bank the problem is in.

I squeeze the upper hose as soon as I fill it, it gets a lot of air out that way.

But as for your head, definitly get it pressure checked, and if its ok, get rid of those goddamn studs. They loosen up all the time, I freakin hate em. Just use some good headbolts and youll be fine.

Also, another thing I thought of, if youre running boost, why didnt you have the heads machined for loc-wire gaskets? Maybe you could do that when the motor is apart.

i will have to look into that when i get my heads checked. i'm gonna do a compression test first to see wtf in going on first.

That's your best bet, to start off with a compression and leak down test. Then you will know for sure if you have a combustion leak.

Leak down will more likely tell you what you want to know than compression test. And a leak down may not tell you what you want either. I suggest you do a cooling system pressure test and see where you are pushing coolant out. Pul all the plugs and check each cyl for traces of antifreeze
