Sounds to me like matt is on the right track! If you are getting "air pressure" in your cooling system it more than likely a head gasket or cracked head letting exhaust gas into it. Does the coolant look discolored? Does the temp rise and fall to extremes erraticly?

I'll bet its a head gasket sounds just like what my car did... it never over heated but it would force most of the coolent out of the sytem when the exhaust gas entered the system. The coolent may not discolor mine didn't but my leak wasn't that bad either. Get the 351 done or change the head gaskets before they really let go.
